Medway Hub

Our Medway Hub is at St Augustine’s Church in Gillingham, and is open Monday mornings in term-time between 10am and 12pm. Mums are given a warm, Princess Project welcome, and a chance to sit down and chat over a cup of tea, and to meet other mums as well as our friendly team of staff and volunteers. Totcycle is open when the Hub is open (see below). There are baby changing facilities,  space to feed your baby, and lots of toys and activities to amuse older children. What’s unique about the Hub, however, is that it is a mums’ group, not a baby/toddler group, and you can visit with or without your children.

Our team are there to listen, and not judge, and to be a source of friendly support to mums who visit us. We also have lots of information about various services and places you can go to access specialist support should you need it.

Totcycle at the Hub

Our Totcycle baby and toddler bank is open in our special shed in the carpark (!) when the Hub is open- just tell one of the team that you’d like to visit Totcycle, and we will register you and help you find what you need. We have everything from nappies and formula, to clothing and shoes, to larger items such as prams and highchairs (the only things we aren’t able to supply are electrical items).

We may not have all items available when you visit, but we can arrange for you to visit again and collect them at a later date, or we may be able to deliver to you.

We don’t means test, and although we do accept referrals you are welcome to come to us directly. If you need something, we will try and help meet that need, without asking too many questions. We do ask, however, that to make it fair for everyone, you only visit Totcycle once a month (barring emergencies).

More about Totcycle

Getting there

St Augustine’s is quite visible on the A2 at the junction of Chatham Hill and Rock Avenue- it’s the giant stone church! There is a small car park, which you can use when visiting the Hub- you will need to display a permit during your visit, which we can give you when you arrive. The car park is accessible from Rock Avenue.

The following buses also stop nearby: Arriva 116, 120, 132.

We would like to thank the Dulverton Trust and Kent Community Foundation who have kindly given us grants to help with the running costs of the Hub this year.
