We run a variety of courses to help equip mums (and dads!) for their parenting journey. All of our courses are informal, welcoming, and discussion-based: we believe that learning from one another is really important.
We provide refreshments, and space for children to play so that childcare isn’t a barrier to mums and dads coming along. We don’t charge for any of our courses.

BABIES MATTER
Babies Matter is a programme to support both expectant parents and those with new babies who are facing disadvantages.
Over six sessions, the programme helps parents and carers to build confidence, competence, and community as they welcome their new baby to the world.
Babies Matter aims to help parents and carers lay a strong foundation for their family by building a strong attachment with their child, focusing on their understanding of their baby as well as looking after their own mental wellbeing.
Our trained facilitators partner with local support services and healthcare providers, such as midwives, health visitors and children’s centres, to invite families along to the six-week programme.
The programme also actively focuses on strengthening the ‘parenting team’; investing in three areas of family life (‘baby’, ‘me’, and the ‘parenting team’) gives parents the tools to raise their baby in a strong family.
SHINE
The Shine Course helps girls and women to better understand their value, strengths and potential. The course celebrates everyone’s uniqueness, and explores the fact that we all have the power of choice and a voice; that every girl and woman can purposefully make decisions that shape their future in a positive way, set goals and build confidence to live out a life filled with purpose.
